The only thing I am not restricted on is books. We only have one TV in our master bedroom, one laptop. If they get more toys than cubes, we decide what is important and what we don't really need. They can have a toy or toy set (like blocks) per cube and that's it. As far as toys, each of my children have an 8 cube shelf in their room. 6 adult towels towels, 6 kid towels, 6 dishcloths, 2 pairs of shoes per person, 1 coat per person, etc etc etc. Same with myself, I only have a couple pairs of pants and shirts. I only have enough clothes for my kids to make it through 5-7 days before having to do laundry. Every month, I rip apart every room in my house and get even more bare. ![]()
